Nari Abhyudaya has been established in 1998 as an umbrella organization in support of services and projects carried out for the welfare of women and children for the past 40 years in different parts of India.

It is responsible for creating economic opportunities for women by providing skill training, training in setting up small scale commercial and industrial projects for the self-sufficiency of women. It is a platform for women to get trained in the small-scale industry, not exploit women in a male-dominated society. Narii Abhudaya, which means “Ladies rising like the sun”, encourages women to be independent and teach how to earn without depending on others for their support by just being in their home. It signifies the process of mental expansion, which is the result of the confidence inspired in those economically self-sufficient women. This trade training works by enabling women to make different crafts for selling. Even those women who do not face financial hardships can benefit significantly from the Narii abhudaya programme to develop creative skills and give economic assistance to less fortunate women in society.
